Thank you for the comment. I like to think I’m aware of my privilege, being both male and white, as you have pointed out. And while I’m sure that played a subconscious, institutional role, I got the job because of the years of hard work honing my craft. Also Facebook has policies and practices in place to promote diversity and combat discrimination. With that said, I understand and agree with your sentiment; I’m an ally.
